...interesting that the CPQ comparison comes up. The following was in Herb Greenberg's current "Herb's Hotline" column on TheStreet.com:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Moving On: Big flap over the health of Sun's (SUNW:Nasdaq - news) biz in recent days. Regardless of whether the stories are right or wrong or true or false, here are some metrics that could cloud the picture: Sun trades at around 6.5 times its revenue; IBM (IBM:NYSE - news) trades about 2 times; Compaq (CPQ:NYSE - news), about 85% of revenue ...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Certainly Sun will survive. But is now the time to buy? I sold out my position at 81 on the way up and endured the run to a peak of almost 130. At the time I sold, I picked 64 (now 32) as the rebuy point. Now actually faced with the opportunity, I'm finding it hard to pull the trigger. A victim of market psychology or appropriately cautious?
...probably won't know 'till it's too late.
