OT, RE: one immediate affect of GWB would be to open natural gas in Alaska, or the Artic Natl Wildlife whatever

appears British Petro has been pushing hard to build another pipeline up there; this time for natural gas. Bill put a kibosh on that when he closed the range to further pumping; oil or otherwise

lowered oil prices with lowered interest rates should eventually prove helpful to technology sector

Opening the Arctic Wildlife Refuge to drilling wouldn't generate any more natural gas for several years.

The price of natural gas has not eased along with the price of crude, because there just isn't any spare natural gas anywhere. That problem won't be cured for at least another year, probably longer.

And the economy is more dependent on the price of natural gas than it is on the price of crude.
