Inspiration of Scripture is discovered, not bestowed by the Church. It is inspired on account of it being "God breathed".

Who decides which discoveries are legitimately "God breathed" and which are not?

>>The soul is made in the image of God and is therefore personal. It's qualities would include Reason, will, emotion, and moral responsibility.<<

Thanks, Greg.
Can I ask for more clarification on the soul? I will try to describe it as I think you conceptualize it. I am not assuming that this description is true, so please correct me if I am wrong...

Souls are eternal in one direction (the future), but they are created by God with a definite beginning. Sometime between or including conception and birth, a soul is grafted onto an individual physical body by God.

Just as the soul can effect the physical body through the Will, the physical body can effect the soul. This is shown by how drugs and/or brain damage can effect Reason, Emotions, and Will (properties of the soul).

At death of the physical body, the soul goes into a hibernation state until God can create a copy of the familiar physical body. At the time of Judgement (or soon afterwards), the soul is re-grafted onto this new copy of the physical body, where it will then spend an eternity in either heaven or hell occupying this new body. This new body is not an exact copy of the old body, but is "better" somehow, in that things like limps, hangnails, or amputations are no longer present.

Is this correct?
