Re: Intel run by gearheads. Mary, perhaps we need a major crisis to shake things up and allow a fundamental change. A computer that rise to prominence based on engineering excellence alone can become too complacent, too arrogant, too oblivious of the real world (may we call this the Motorola Syndrome?). Intel has always fostered a cult of personality and insularity that has looked down on products not invented here, and people who did not rise thru the ranks. How can Intel ever accept a leader with vision, common sense, and empathy, but who is NOT an engineer? Gary
