Why not take your Dogmatic GATA Soul and ascend to the intelligible realm(Republic, 517B). I think your soul longs for a permanent abode in purity. In the Phaedrus it is a view of "the realm above the heavens" (247C; 250C) or "the external realm" where the perfect soul dwells in pure brightness, clean and unpolluted by the body (250C). To bad your eye cannot immediately perceive the highest reality. For your vision is confused by the transition from light to dark, as well as from darkness to light (Republic 518A). Now your eyes are so blinded by the dazzling light(I should let Darleen take over from here) that you cannot perceive what is truly real (516A). Only then follows the perfect "view of what is above" (517B). The philosophical soul, however, growing accustomed to the brightness, finally endures even the brightest vision in the world of being, the Idea of the Good(518C). In the myth of the Phaedrus, it is the souls of the gods who alone enjoy this vision undisturbed. Wondrous things are beheld by the race of gods in their journey through the heavens(247C). Poor Dogmatic GATA Boy, of human souls, only the best succeeds in raising itself to the external realm and participating in the journey of the gods. In your case, Politically Correct GATA Boy, the eyes of your soul are incapable of persistently viewing the divine(Sophist, 254A). Is this why you have turned to GATA as your Savior?
