All that tends to lead me to believe is that there is no God. No God that is "interested" in us- in the way we use the word interested. Of course we would all like to think that good and evil (as of course we use those terms and make them up) will be addressed in the hereafter in a way that would suit us (and of course what would suit depends on who we are). Because "good" and "evil" as most of us understand them CERTAINLY aren't being addressed here- or at least not to the satisfaction of most of us. But that's such a small and human desire, isn't it? To see fairness- as we define it.

There is nothing but what there is. And whatever that is, I am willing to bet, it is not personal. It is as concerned with us as with maggots and hyenas and fleas and green algae and chemical reactions. Of course we are important to ourselves- but trying to bootstrap that into making ourselves important TO the universe makes me laugh. Well, chuckle.
