I think you're right. I used live in Pennsylvania and went to school at U. of Michigan. In PA, those folks are alot more conservative than people think. Remember they voted, as well as I did, for Gov. Casey a pro-life Democrat. They also voted for Reagan in strong numbers. Michigan was do-able for Bush but would have required more effort.

I agree that Bush's efforts in California we're a waste, but it's hard to ignore all electorial votes. If Bush does a good job he'll carry all those states next time.

Bush lost PA and MI because he wasted all those funds in CA trying to convince illegal aliens to vote for him. It was a non-starter. He didn't really help the congressional delegation there either.knc
