Sun says moves to second place in
server market

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Sun Microsystems Inc.
(NasdaqNM:SUNW - news) moved into second place in the global
market for computer servers in the third quarter, the company said
on Wednesday.

Sun said it overtook Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE:HWP - news) and
Compaq Computer Corp. (NYSE:CPQ - news)), moving from fourth to
second place in overall revenue, quoting figures from International Data Corp (IDC).

Sun's sales for servers running the UNIX operating system, the biggest piece of the market, rose 63
percent while unit sales grew 100 percent, leaving it with 48 percent of worldwide UNIX shipments, it
said.

The total UNIX market grew 20 percent in units and value, Sun said.

International Business Machines Corp.(NYSE:IBM - news), number one in the server market, said
separately that the IDC data show it grew faster than Sun in the sector of the market for mid-range UNIX
servers costing between $100,000-$1 million.

But overall IBM UNIX server revenues grew just 17 percent versus the 63 percent growth for Sun, IDC
said.

``Overall in the UNIX market, Sun is clearly the leader thus farm,'' said IDC analyst Vernon Turner.

Did you ever take a civics class?
You clearly don't understand how the SC works. A case of this nature has never been brought before them because there has never been an issue of this magnitude before.
It has nothing to do with them ignoring the issue. They've never had an opportunity to do anything about it. I'm sure had the issue arisen before, they would have ruled similarly (though with more time for people to act, one would think).
The primary issue isn't whether the count should continue, but rather it was being performed in a consistent fashion. Clearly, it wasn't. And the vote on that was 7-2.

You may think either candidate is a puppet. All presidents are puppets. Even the one you voted for...or, if you didn't vote, then you have nothing to say on the issue because you chose not to exercise your responsibilities. While you still have a right to complain, you really don't have any credibility.
No matter who sits in that office, they got there because of the backing of some large money interest. If, by some weird twist of fate, Nader had made it, then it would only have been because he got the money to make a serious run. And if that money came from Greenpeace, then...well...gee...who's puppet would he be?
Fortunately for the progress of the nation, Greenpeace is primarily staffed by young people with little ready cash who are still idealistic and think they are actually accomplishing something.
Now, the Nature Conservancy....THERE'S a legitimate environmental group. Using markets to accomplish good works.

Windseye...Exactly what political gains would
a judge appointed for life have?

If you believe they are buffoons...should we
change the song to

"Hail to the Buffoon"

Page 32 of the transcripts of Bush I.
Justice Breyer to K Harris attorney Klock......
"...whether we win or you win..."

Judge Burton, Palm Beach canvassing
(under oath before Judge T. Lewis).
Richard: could you not find the intent of the voter
when a ballot was punched and "Bush" was written on
the ballot also, what did you do with the ballot?
Burton: we discarded them because it was a double vote.

---------------------------------------------------

Sandra Day O'Connor....BushII.
The standard that should be used are the instructions
the voter is given when they enter the booth.

------------------------------------------------------

Bush won Florida
Bush won a recount
Bush won a selected recount ... the electors were certified
Bush, Harris et al...won multiple Florida court decisions
Gore won two decisions in the Fl SC.......
both were cases Bush won that were overturned.

The FSC decisions were vacated and reprimanded by the
US SC.

The FSC challenged the US Constitution. Art 2

The US SC court protected the US Constitution
......EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW.......

Many of the decisions did not follow party lines.
(Stevens was appointed by Ford)

Be happy, as a whole the US SC court represents the wide values and philosophies of the Americans and its Constitution.

All Gone.......
