The Truth About This

One of the things that is particularly clear based on the recent Supreme Court decision is this:

If the Al Gore team had proceeded with the recount effort in a fair and equitable manner rather than cherry-picking counties that unfairly tilted everything his way and pressuring for highly questionable standards for "divining" votes, we would already have had a full hand-recount of the whole state. It is clear that the Supreme Court would never have taken this case were the manual recounts being handled equitably.

Note: if you haven't read the Supreme Courts decision, you should do so (especially the section that talks about the recount standards used). BTW, the decision that the vote-counting standards were unconstitutional was 7-2, not 5-4.
