They gave their all to allow you to post your silliness here. I know the veterans' interest group expects to be treated with kid gloves and it's not PC to fail to genuflect in front of them for their sacrifice and their contribution. Mothers and doctors are two other groups in that category. But all mothers aren't madonnas and there's no reason in the world why a doctor warrants a better table in a restaurant than anyone else or to jump to the head of the line, yet that courtesy is often paid and sometimes demanded. Veterans, mothers, and doctors deserve a certain automatic deference, but not unlimited free rides. None of those groups is entitled to any special deference in voting because, in the USA, all votes and all voters are supposed to be equal. I'm sorry that my saying aloud what most people would dare only whisper is such a shock to your system. I told you the time frame of my experience with the military. I presume you know what was going on in the world then so I'm surprised that you assume I have no experience with sacrifice or with the Wall. I have no intention of getting into dueling sacrifices with you. I had no intention of getting into a discussion of the military at all. I was only trying (unsuccessfully) to make a point to Ron about equal treatment, not disparage the military, and at no time did I do so. Failure to pay homage to the myth is not disparagement. Karen
