OK, OK! I used to be a faithful watcher of the Tonight Show. There was something about Carson's self deprecating humour and quick wit, that relaxed me--and lifted me temporarily above the sordidness of the news. I am sure that Bush does not see the irony of life with the insight and glee that Johnny did. However, there is sometimes a twinkle in the eye that reminds me of Johnny. Indeed, once you start looking for it...it leaps right out at you. At least for me...
