Do these capex numbers reflect expenditures at the companies acquired during the past year?

Will the moderation in capex affect the expansion of Intel's non-CPU business?

Ever see that really bad TV ad for losing weight with the steroid short-haired blonde and a mantra of "stop the insanity"? Intel went from an average of 4 billion a year capex for, say 3 - 4 years, to 6.5 billion this year. I'd say back to 4 B sounds like the right thing. If it were cut to 1 or 2 B, it would sound drastic enough as to signal gloom looking forward from now to 3 years. I think they've stopped the insanity.
