Good Luck Mike!! It is nice to see new names and philosophies come to the thread. This downdraft in SUNW has shaken me....but not my confidence in the company. To all my old friends, let's just hang on tight.

The pressure is sure on the techs right now but I agree with you that SUNW is much more a company than DELL or CPQ or any of the other companies that got "slammed" and didn't, and may never, come back to where they were.

The fact that SUNW has made so many strategic software and hardware committments in acquisitions and basic research means that they will have staying power.

They haven't sat on their laurels either. They are constantly fighting for market share and dominance in any niche they can.

I like your post and agree with you that they are a Tier 1 company with a great likelihood of retracing their losses in their stock.
