Anarchism, as a political philosophy, isn't the same as anarchy, "without law." There is an overlap between anarchism and libertarianism. Individualist anarchists are quite similar to libertarians. Take a look at The Machinery of Freedom, by economist David Friedman. Murray Rothbard was an individualist anarchist. Anarcho-syndicalists are more like socialists. Ray may be an anarcho-syndicalist.

Mama Bear, although some would define Anarchy as "without law", a more common and more correct definition is "without government". Because reasnable people will always impose reasonable laws upon themselves, govt or not. Ah...but not all people are reasonable....and there is the problem. So we must go for a bare-bones govt, limited to only essential functions, as brilliantly represented by the Constitution. Anarchy equals "without govt", the US Constitution equals "the govt that governs best governs the least", or, as close to no govt as we can possibly get and still have an army and roads and a common currency. And the Libertarian Party believes in less govt than the Constitution allows. So, yes, Anarchism and Libertarianism are very closely alligned. Are you aware that the people who started the LP talked to Ayn Rand and begged her to come to the early meetings and preside over the fledgeling Party? They did this because the new Party of their dreams was founded on the writings of Ms Rand. She refused. " Why not get acquainted with the facts before declaring your perceptions reality?"
