MARKET TALK: Poor Earnings Outlook To Trump New President(Call Us: 201 938-5299; All Times Eastern

8:30 (Dow Jones) The first trading session since early November in which we
know who are next president is will get off to a weak start. Not unlike the
earnings warnings coming out of the suffering PC makers, word that two big
banks - merger partners J.P. Morgan (JPM) and Chase Manhattan (CMB) - will
miss 4Q views can't be overly surprising to folks who follow the market.
Meanwhile, Maytag (MYG) isn't going to come close to hitting 4Q views, but
tech heavyweight Corning (GLW) is comfortable with Street views. Big numbers
coming from Oracle (ORCL) and Adobe (ADBE) after the close. PPI, jobless
claims at 8:30 a.m. ET. DJIA futures off sharply, bonds rallying. (TG)
