You should go on a "basic training diet" for now..... three sausages and eight cubes of cheese taken every four hours, with libation of choice....

I saw this news article, seemed kind of presumptuous to me (see bold print language). Question: If God chose Bush, why did we need a recount????

(Reuters)

AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect George W. Bush (news - web sites) moved swiftly on Thursday to build his administration and mend the wounds of a rancorous election with personal contact and a message of prayer and healing.

Democratic and Republican leaders, who had engaged in bitter legal and political battles over the virtual tie between Bush and Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites) in the Nov. 7 election, called on Americans now to pull together behind the new president.

Bush received calls of congratulations and support from world leaders and top Democrats including President Clinton (news - web sites) and civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, who has called for demonstrations to protest what he said was black disenfranchisement in the election.

A Bush aide said he and Jackson discussed ``healing the nation and bringing the country together.'' He added: ``They talked about holding further discussions on election reform and the president-elect said he would be happy to meet with the reverend and discuss that at some point.''

Bush, only the second son in U.S. history to follow his father to the White House, opened his first full day as president-elect with family, staff and friends at the Tarrytown United Methodist Church in suburban Austin where several pastors compared the Texas governor to Moses.

``He was chosen by God as you have been chosen by God, to lead the people,'' Mark Craig, senior pastor at the Highland Park Methodist Church in Dallas, told the congregation.
