Looks more and more like Clinton/Gore will have handed US a recession.

Certainly the opposite of the strong and growing economy they were handed in 1993.

And a tax cut looks like the perfect tonic for what ails US.

The tax cuts occurred during the Reagan Administration, and produced a boom. The Bush recession was caused by two things, mainly: an abrupt decrease in military spending, and a tax INCREASE that Bush was pressured into agreeing to. It only lasted 7 months, by the way. The economy had accelerating growth by election day, but it was not reported until after the election.......
