"A hispanic Clarence Thomas would be his dream candidate"

What nationality is Scalia? He kind of looks hispanic, but the name sounds Italian.

Dear Zonkie: After reading your comments I feel I should post to you a portion of a sermon given this morning by a Methodist Minister. Here it is:

Rev. Mark Craig, pastor of the Dallas Methodist church where Vice President-elect Cheney has worshipped, compared Bush to Moses of the Old Testament. ''You were chosen by God, as was Moses, to lead the people,'' he said.

Guess that says it all, so relax and enjoy the trip. JDN

Other than his incompetency the thing George Jr will be most remembered for is the people he appoints to the supreme court.

Bush has an excellent record as governor in Texas which would seem to undercut your sore loser type assertion. They guy hasn't even been inaugurated yet.

The democrats are likely to give any candidate he nominates a very tough time of it. Anything short of a true moderate will be met with very stiff resistance.

The Dems are not likely to act like the sore losers you expect in light of Whopper Al's concession but even so VP Cheney will be available to break any ties on confirmation votes.
