Korean Electronics Industry to See 11.8 Pct. Growth in 2001
December 14, 2000 (SEOUL) -- Despite the stalling economy, growth in the digital and telecommunications devices sector will continue to be steep in 2001.



According to a new survey released by the Electronic Industries Association of Korea, production growth in the local electronics industry is estimated at 11.8 percent, down slightly from this year's estimated 17.7 percent growth.

Exports are expected to see a 20.6 percent growth, while domestic consumption is estimated at 16.4 percent, the EIAK said.
