CORNER BAY CLOSES $5.5 MILLION FINANCING

December 14, 2000 - Toronto, Canada: Corner Bay Minerals Inc. (TSE “BAY”) announced today that it has closed a public offering of 3,666,667 Units at a price of $1.50 per Unit for gross proceeds of $5,500,000. Each Unit is comprised of one Common Share and a one-half Common Share Purchase Warrant. Each whole warrant is exercisable for 12 months from closing at an exercise price of $2.25 per share. The Units were issued pursuant to a final Prospectus filed in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia and sold by Canaccord Capital Corporation.

Corner Bay Minerals Inc. is a Canadian resource company engaged in the further assessment and development of the Alamo Dorado Silver/Gold Project located in Sonora, Mexico where the Company’s consultant Mintec, inc. has estimated an open pit mineable, heap leach reserve of 52 million tonnes which contains 106 million ounces of silver and 394 thousand ounces of gold. Net proceeds from the issue will be used to fund a final feasibility study at the project, conduct further exploration at the project and for general working capital requirements.

"Quick question, when they refer to the 106 million ounzes of silver is that before or after applying the 67% overall recovery factor?"

If that question is directed to me, I don't understand the question, let alone have the answer.
