I would hope zero. Zilch. The Democrats are the party that embraces the issues that matter to the common working man. The Republicans are the party that embraces the platform of Big Business and tax cuts for the richest of the rich.

The donations are hardly equal. Repubs had much more money to spend in the weeks leading up to Nov. 7 than did the Dems. So much so, that GWB spent several million in California, even though he knew he didn't have a rat's behind of winning the state.

In many states, Democrats prevailed even though they were outspent.

The public is getting smart to political ads and, as such, the role of corporate money and soft money in elections will be diminished in the future, in my opinion.
