Bruce, if you aren't satisfied with it, you can put it on e-Bay for $500+ or, maybe, better.
Probably as good a short time buy and sell as you've ever experienced.

BB:

wrt Playstation 2....

The stack of 60 units was down to about 15 - 20 in less than half an hour. Hmmm....I could sense the popularity. Based on a couple of the PM's I received suggesting that if I could get my hands on a Playstation 2, do it. I spoke with two of the sales staff and we went through the merits of each system. They said they wouldn't be getting any more Playstations in before Christmas. I had to act quick before those last 7 (at this point) were gone.

Well, it's safe to say the P2 has crossed the chasm and is being widely adopted, pending availability. <g>

From what I gather, you're one lucky SOB in tights. Many have been on waiting lists for months; you walk in to a store somewhere in Europe, and stumble over a stack of P2's.
Wow!

The take home message here is this: P2 = Rambus.

Bruce,

Wise choice with the PS2. You're son will love it!
If you need help in choosing game titles, I can help. My sons set their alarms earlier and earlier (5:30, sheesh!) to beat each other to the console.

Merry Christmas to you and your family,

nos

BTW, Apollo, did you base your advice to Bruce strictly on bowling pins, TALC and Rambus? There are no gaming devices in the Apollo family, are there <g>?

Well, I got my hands on one. No research conducted outside of the PM's and speaking with the sales staff (very unlike me).

Knowing you. I'm suprised you didn't grab all of them at the start. Then put them up on ebay for a nice tidy three bagger!
