GLW Sez:

Corning (GLW:NYSE - news) was up 2.1% in preopen Instinet trading after saying it expects post fourth-quarter earnings at the high end of its previously estimated range of 26 to 28 cents per share. The First Call/Thomson Financial estimate is 28 cents. The fiber-optic company cited the "global appetite for Internet bandwidth."

This market is looking forward to the holidays already...and holding until next fiscal year...IMHO

I did just buy again, at 229, but I am very concerned, and pretty shocked too. Maybe I am watching too closely so I am going to head off for a hike in the mountains for a couple days.

I think a lot of us are watching too closely. I'm reminded of the time as a young mother when I called the doctor to ask what to do when my baby napped for 3 hours --- far longer than usual. He wisely told me to chill out. Well, not quite in those words. :)

Enjoy the mountains!
