Our unionized ambulance service was recently negotiating a new agreement. One of their pressure tactics was to strand their ambulances in the middle of the road as soon as their shift was over. This left dispatchers searching for their ambulances all over the city. Of course the union said that this tactic did not affect the safety of the public in any way.

Firemen were also striking in our city last year. One of their tactics was to slash fire hoses. Several buildings burned down during the strike as unsuspecting firemen got to the scene, rolled out the hoses only to find they had been slashed. There again, union leaders were on camera denying any involvement.

You mentioned airline pilots. That's another educated gang. I seem to recall a recent strike where they had stranded passengers with connecting flights at airports far away from home and no possibility to make other arrangements. I guess you are right, no one was inconvenienced by their action.

You say that maybe you might be a unionized doctor. What type of pressure tactics would you employ? At what point does your selfish greed supercede the interests of your patient?

Has it ever crossed your mind that perhaps I am a doctor, or an airline pilot, or a university professor, or a high school teacher, or a policeman, or a firefighter, or a symphony musician, or a Pulitzer-winning writer, or an actor?

Since you seem to be posting here 24/7, I doubt that you even have a job.... Unless, maybe you are Alex Rodriguez, member of the Major League Baseball Players Union, who just got a 10 year contract for a quarter billion dollars. Yup, another common working man, solidarity forever!! LOL!!
