Nasdaq is growth fragile... very little of the NASDAQ is effected by interest rates. But the interest rates have a huge affect on the growth. The NASDAQ is still within the growth rate spread that started in 90. It is unlikely that Greenspan is aware that he has pushed the US economy into a hard landing. In fact the longer he takes to lower, the harder the landing. We are looking at a future -3.5% growth. But the depth of the US dollar, via the US Dollar index, suggests that it's much worse elsewhere in this world. In fact it appears only Canada and maybe Australia are looking as being growth positive. In deed, thanks to Alberta Canada's large positions in oil and N-gas, they could effectively be floating 65% of Canada's growth.
