"As a long, I do not agree with them about doing too much."

Redbird, I completely agree. Why should Intel have an eternal exclusive right for the high margin corporate and server markets?? Joe Osha just wants to keep AMD in the corner. It seems as if he wishes the K6-2 days to come back where AMD had some success in the low-end market but was excluded from the high playing ground.

Initially, that article seemed to give AMD some credit but in reality it was the contrary: It paints the picture of AMD being for ever the second rate company, just good to have some success in the low end.

Maybe Joe Osha just wants to protect his investment in Intel...

Peter

redbird:

Mr. Osha seems to agree that, in a relative sense, AMD's product lineup has strengthened and will continue to strengthen vis a vis its competitors...If true, at some point AMD's price will also strengthen vis a vis its competitors...

Skepticism around the server and corporate market reminds me of similar skepticism around the Athy when it was first released...Skepticism is the easiest and most defensible posturing for them to take...Kinda like Paul in that regard...
