I beleive that the 2nd class being middle income is pretty much gone. With the recent boom, separation of classes is at it's greatest divergence ever. Baltimore's avg inc. for a family of 5 at the end of 1999 was 18,750.00 that's poverty, it's not average or middle, and I don't know how they pull it off!

You have a good argument Bruce, but there has been a tremendous amount of wealth, or perception thereof created over the last 8 years helping to widen the gap. Farmers are now using the internet to project rainfall with satelite imagery techniques (WHAT!) yea hi tech farmers. Somebody made money somewhere, as their campaign platforms were pretty much the same, except for perception of TAX CUTS!

It is all about values. Don't bother to worry too much. farmers= values. Farming is hard work, it is all toil and it is no give aways, that is why it is Bush country. In farming what you saw is what you reap, it is the ultimate wisdom.

My father was a 'Doctor' but a farmer doctor this is the secret he told me, and I still go back to my lands and feel proud of that long held tradition of hard work, no entitlements, no free loaders and lot of hard work. Equal opportunity with compassion. That is one thing, I teach my little kids, go and conquer the world, don't look at others, last night I talked them until three in the morning because one of them wanted pre-nuptials since he saw Douglas did it, I told him, get real man, go get a women who knows values like your mother. It is all about values and nothing else, societies are based on values, rich or poor that does not matter, what matters the most is 'values' those who believe in values will understand why farmers vote for Bush.. All global farmers are alike they all work hard, they all toil and they don't live on handouts or goodwill of others. Ypu want to know the fact this is fact that is why so much of middle America go for Bush! Sorry, I am replying this very late for me and I am not very awake..but the facts I cannot avoid.
