Some select services stocks look close to bottoming here. The tubulars in particular. However many of the institutional darlings like SII and SLB look to have further to go on the downside. Drillers too. The NG producers continue to consolidate sideways. We'll see if another leg up is in the offing.

Still the incredible bond market rally goes on, leading me to believe that there is still more downside in store for the commodity cycle. Imo only when rates bottom can we look for a true bottom in most commodities, including NG, although I must confess NG seems to be ignoring the decline the oil complex.

Have spent the afternoon looking through 10Q's of NG producers. There are a heck of a lot of crappy companies out there! How could their managements possibly be so stupid with their hedging strategies? HSE, for example, has hedged out to 2003, mostly at less than $3
