Today's volume was 13,000,000 plus vs 1m plus. Could this be sales only or are these a bunchof shorts?

Steve

Anything that even remotely resembles bad news in this bearish environment will cause a company like QLT to be drawn and quartered. The story with this company is intact, Visudyne is still a vast improvement over existing treatments, and the people who administer insurance and medical care will ultimately pay rather than let 1000's go blind.

Zakaran, QLTI is an excellent company with an excellent long term outlook. If you have a very long time horizon, the prices around here are probably pretty "cheap". If you do not have the stomach for seeing your investment halved in six months, you may want to wait. It is my personal opinion (based on general market outlook and the specific technical picture of QLTI) that a breach of today's low ($24) would probably lead to prices in the mid teens by March or April of next year. A possible tactic would be to try and buy in the $25 to $27 area with a mental stop at $24. If the stop is hit, you may want to wait to see if indeed it ends up in the mid teens before committing again. JMHO
