Sanmina's Registration Statement For Zero Coupon Convertible Subordinated Debentures Due 2020 Declared Effective SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Sanmina Corporation (Nasdaq: SANM) today announced that it has been notified by the Securities and Exchange Commission that its registration statement relating to the resale by holders of its $1,660,000,000 aggregate principal amount at maturity of Zero Coupon Convertible Senior Debentures due 2020 and the shares of Sanmina common stock issuable upon conversion thereof was declared effective on December 12, 2000. The debentures were originally issued by Sanmina in a private placement in September 2000 to certain qualified institutional investors in transactions exempt from registration under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the registration statement was required under the terms of that issuance. Holders of debentures may sell debentures pursuant to the prospectus constituting a part of the registration statement only if they have been included as selling security holders in a prospectus supplement to the prospectus.
