A bottle of Zicam contains 120 doses. Since most people have two nostrils, they get 60 doses for about $10. That's 17 cents per dose. Most cold remedies cost about $6 for 24 tablets. You have to take two of them, so you get 12 doses for $6, or about 50 cents per dose. While many consumers just look at the absolute cost, the actual cost per dose of Zicam is less than the cost of most other cold remedies. Zicam also works better and doesn't make you feel like crap when you are using it.
