What happens and what we 'banked' on this entire week was that the run up you mentioned, Kevin. What happend was that stocks like NUAN,MUSE, NUFO, QLGC, TIBX, CFLO, AKAM, IWOV and WEBM became short term overbought within an intermediate/long term oversold and downtrending situation. That was a classic set up for shorting that rally. It was a case of 'too much too soon' and than mostly undeserved as well. That is why every rally since November 24th was shorted methodically and exhaustively. Even when the shorts succumbed we still shorted (although smaller positions and not as freely)

We went long when we saw trigger but for the most part did not hold swing trades on the long side. I think everyone keeps some longs to some degree in a longer term portfolio. There will be more short falls this is supposed to be the "Christmas Rally" but its more like Scrooge has the upper hand.
