He's drving the economy into a brick wall. Going from 6% to standstill in two qtrs is simply fantastic. Itslike slammingthe brakes on a supertanker it will cause all manner of stresses and colateral damage.

It is begining to look like the landing is going to be one of the hardest ever and the warnings this qtr will palre into insignificance compared to the warnings we will get in Q1 and Q2 next year.

Surely it must begin to dawn on him that even if he is right, taking the US economy from 6% growth to standstill like this is not good managment of the economy.

Well if nothnig else Mr Bush will be in familiar territory to his father who also had to suffer from Mr G. Looks like Mr Bush will go down in history for more than just the election but once again the US economy will be in the dumps under a Bush President and this time a big one.
