You are correct on short term risk. On the other hand MSFT has a slew of new products coming out next year, including a new O/S that merges the foundations of Windows 9x and Windows NT. I am confident that this O/S will gain acceptance very rapidly by the corporate world (unlike Windows 2000), spurring a slew of software and hardware upgrades. As the date gets closer institutions will be jumping back on board in anticipation of substantially increased earnings. MSFT is always conservative and will not count these chickens until they have hatched. In other words they will not count on this when discussing projected revenues for next year.

This is likely to be one of those rare opportunities where we kick ourselves later for letting it go by. I have let too many of these opportunities go by. Not this time.
