Well, I know a lot of people who argue that Reagan was good for the economy. It hink they are obviously right since we had more bank failures in the Reagan years than in the great depression. Indeed, Reaganomics was nothing more nor less than a throwback to the economic policies of 1926 that lead to the great depression.

Perhaps, while big money is looking forward to new tax breaks etc. with Junior in office, the little guys that got burned by Senior are nervous as hell.

Reagan = bad

Overall the markets did well under Reagan.
Giving total credit to Presidents for markets is tenuous.
Demographics are probably the main driver. Follow the boomers and you follow the money...
