I think that everyone is assuming that we go below 2700, including me. That tells me that there is some doubt.

The reason that I think that it is likely that we break 2700 is that we had a bunch of charts that started looking very bullish which have now either showed topping action with lower highs or columns of Os that are more than 1/2 the length of the previous column of Xs, OR have broken DBs.

Another thing that makes me think that the market can hold on is that we have the fed meeting next week and I expect Greenie to become more dovish. I know that I am not alone in that thought. Anticipation of the dovishness should cause some buying. Of course, the MSFT announce ain't gonna be such a hot influence on the market.
