Why am I suppose to do? Paul no longer post here.

Considering the excess capacity that Intel now has, they probably will ramp P4 faster than initially planned and put further price pressure on Athlon. P4 performs very well on high end applications for retail market and PIII is just fine to run Office. Yes that leaves some room for floating point intensive business applications (I love my 1 GHz Athlon running solid works on NT), but not a whole lot.

AMD really needs to concentrate on increasing manufacturing efficiencies and improving infrastructure issues and corporate partnership. And of course they need to maintain their leadership position in Flash.

AMD now has a lot of experience in ultra high end semi manufacturing and now is the best time to put that experience to use.

AMD needs to continue to push hard on the manufacturing side, not to increase capacity, but to reduce total cost for each chip.
