The problem with the way federal government retirement plans are set up is the lag time - he can only change the balance allocation by putting in the order by the 15th, and it isn't effective until the 1st. They have a choice between an S&P fund, a T-bill fund, and a bond fund.

He got a little panicky when I told him that Microsoft warned and he wanted to pull it all out, but I told him to think about it, since he has until midnight tomorrow to make up his mind.
