For those who want debt reduction the power there comes from a strong economy. Some spending cuts would help but neither party will stand for that yet. If the fed persists in seeing inflation where there is none then tax cuts remain the only way that politicians can stimulate the economy. Taxes remain a burden on the productive sector of the economy. They have been too high for too long and with the fed adding to the effect we are getting the natural result.
