Hartcourt subsidiary, Microsoft (China) team up to boost China's financial industry

By ChinaOnline News

(14 December 2000) The U.S.-based Hartcourt Companies Inc., a holding and development company that is building a network of Internet and telecommunications service companies in Hong Kong and the mainland, is now in a new partnership with Microsoft (China) Co.

According to an agreement announced on Dec. 14, UAC E-Commerce Networks, a Hartcourt subsidiary, and Microsoft (China) will deliver solutions and Internet applications to China’s financial industry based on Microsoft's network architecture and platform.

Both UAC E-Commerce Networks and Microsoft (China) will use their own technology, including Windows NT-based solutions, Pocket PC networks, and wireless stock trading platforms, to assist Chinese banking and securities firms.

The two sides will offer E-Finance solutions—an integration of advanced Internet, telecommunications and wireless access systems—on a revenue-sharing basis and will cooperate in product development, marketing, sales and services throughout China.

UAC E-Commerce Networks is a part of another Hartcourt subsidiary, the SinoBull Financial Group, which provides online and wireless stock trading technology, virtual private network (VPN) services, financial news and analysis, real-time market data and additional financial transaction technology services.
