I'll be waiting for the same deal that the apostles got. Heck they didn't believe it WITH the miracles some of the time and I'm supposed to believe it without any evidence at all? Not. I'll have to deal with the fact that I am happy and contented now. So keeping in mind, John 2:10, you don't approve of cross breeding animals or wearing cloth made from different threads?

Dear CC, We now know you can read and quote scripture. There is really nothing to that. I don't mean this as criticism. You could really make your point by writing some about your actual experiences, those that have entered your life as a result of the spiritual principles you have put into practice. For example- How has the "Christ" gone before you? Since the words are already known, I am thinking you might be willing to share the "fruit."

Take a pin , point it at an empty dark space between two visable stars in the night sky, in your outstretched arm... you see nothing with the eye alone , yet there are more "galaxies" in that point of space beyond, than all of the grains of sand on all the beaches , and ocean bottoms on the earth. Not "stars" , but galaxies. Rejoice that there was only one Son of Man... and it is everyone of us. This means collectively , in the universe if there was only one planet in each galaxy that evolved with life on it, that would mean that there are as many One/ True Son of G-d's in the universe , showing the way to heaven , as there are grains of sand on all the beaches of the world as well. Comforting thought , yes? This isn't about accepting doctrine, its about accepting Jesus. Mohammed, Buddha, etc,...are not the way, nor do they give a guarantee. And if you were born in India or in Asia ? You would be saying exactly the reverse. Christianity developing and spreading from out of the business seaport in Greece , Corinth , does not surprise me that you would have to find it so necessary to stress the idea of "Guarantees", LOL! As if talking about something that is a life long process can be guaranteed like so many jars of olive oil imported from the country. The one difference is in Buddhism they are not so preoccupied with "ruling" the Empire of heaven ,and claiming ownership to the keys-to-the-kingdom and all it's goods . Buddhism being more interested in the attainment of a state of grace, liberation and enlightenment. Not the incessant preaching of this or that about what "G-d" says or doesn't say. Buddha was blessedly coherent, content and eternally firm in emphasising tolerance, and focussing just on one's own deeds and actions, mastering compassion... not being so sophmoric to cling to the idea of who owns truth... nor did he wish to be set up as the "King of King"....as a teacher he was greater than any Emperor or Pharoah. And look , the teachings survived and thrive into the 21rst century. "all the talking, preaching, and pretense----> "about G-d , what G-d wants , and what is Eternity"....never helped one human being on earth ever attain it or live well within it. It is of no consequence to the divine Being/Intelligence how you come to trod on the path towards knowledge and self awareness....only that you do . Christianity has truths only in so far as they were passed down and inherited from out of the past. There were those before that came to say "I am the way and the Light" , that "Billions" live today and revere and respect with love and joy on the earth today. It is with grave trepidation always I have heard the cries of Lord of Lords and King of Kings , echo down the centuries , and those that were intoxicated and marched in this fervor of self-rightiousness and ignorance.. They most often brought with them war, death , disease, and more suffering....and the upset of the balance of other's cultures and were robbing them of their precious resources , while saving their souls. And for centuries upon centuries....not one soul was saved, was there? Once there were the great Kings , Pharoahs and Emperors which ruled with divine providence , who claimed that the only thru them did the word of G-d did come...then with the rise of Christianity , you find that men once again fall into the same divine comedic trap , and set up another "King". Hence only more suffering. Buddha was obviously the One True Living Master on the Earth...for he managed , with the greatest wisdom , to avoid all that. (teasing you here) Jesus would have made an apt pupil of the Buddha . Buddha taught the eternal "Way" , and Jesus was lucky 500 years later to also find and have the vision of that way. ;-) Note: If it is so neccesary to attempt to show a proof of the validity of a path , that one must bring into play the threat death , hell, and eternal damnation ...and influence minds with the promise of some heaven or elusian field by doing empty rituals of acceptance , than i would say what is offered is very weak. If you need to emphasize the aspect of "The Great Guarantee " ...than i would say that your hands are truly empty.
