The huge billion dollar buy-back was announced in a very public way and replaced an existing less impressive buy-back policy. In addition, CPQ represents true value under $22 thereby blessing the stock buy-back. This is a common sense strategic move executed by Compaq officers.

Therefore, we can safely conclude Compaq intends to follow through on this impressive stock buy-back announcement to help nullify the impact of slightly slower growth in the PC market for CPQ investors.

The point is that any weakness in CPQ represents true value at current levels.

A billion dollar stock buy-back is an added BONUS for investors.
