I will read the link you provide, and what you say may be true.

But what I read so far in that link is so badly written that it does not inspire confidence. There are even grammatical mistakes. Now I know that illiterate people can be right, but that doesn't change the illiteracy. Most good historians are careful writers.

OK--thanks, now I have read the whole thing. Very interesting and convincing piece with a lot of interesting statistics.

Sorry I castigated it for the style but it does need a good editor (starting with the first sentence: "it's" is a contraction on "it is" and not the possessive of "it.")

But the figures and tables and arguments supplied certainly support what you say. I guess the tank production figures also do a lot to explain success in Europe.
