All that is true. That is the economy might have been ready for a down-turn. It was however ready for a down-turn last week as well and that was the week in which it sure looked like Gore had a chance.

The market ultimately has certain trends -- that I agree -- however the day to day emotions drive the smaller blips. I'd say the market didn't vote for Bush -- maybe it didn't care one way or another -- or maybe it would have perfered Gore. Who knows. It however didn't vote for Bush
