The next two years should be interesting. I dont think Bush is going to be swayed easily and I dont think the AFL-CIO is not going to have any pull with the majority IMO. We have an easy majority in the house and a VP tie breaking vote in the Senate and Bush waiting with pen in hand. :8-)

John were you aware that the before the Newt Republicans won majority in 1994 the Democrats had special rules in place which did not allow a Republican to stand up in debate and speak? If it werent for the special orders after hours speech time the Republicans would have never been allowed to voice their opinions.

The Democrat's rational was that since THEY held the majority it would just be a waste of time to let Republicans voice their opinions.

If I werent such a big believer in our constitutional rights, in particular the 1st amendment, I would say it was time to put a muzzle on the liberals.
