The editorial staff at Internet Telephony Magazine picked out the Product of the Year award
winners by reviewing product submissions from vendors, as well as looking through product

vendors' best and brightest products (or updates to existing products) that were brought to
market during the 2000 calendar year. The Alcatel OmniPCX 4400, along with other winners of
the Product of the Year award will be announced in the January 2000 issue of Internet
Telephony Magazine.

from 50 to 50,000 users, innovative Reflexes telephone handsets, 99.999% reliability,
one-number mobility, unified messaging, voice-over-IP networking with quality of service
management, Web-based customer contact center, and comprehensive network management.
The OmniPCX 4400 offers a smooth migration path from legacy to IP telephony by supporting IP
connections in addition to analog and digital connections.

"Alcatel is very proud that the OmniPCX 4000 has been awarded Product of the Year," said
Patrick Liot, president of Alcatel's e-Business Networking Division. "The OmniPCX 4400 has
revolutionized the IP telephony market since its launch in January, and Alcatel appreciates
Internet Telephony Magazine's acknowledgement of this accomplishment."

"The Internet Telephony(R) Product of the Year award allows us to honor exemplary products
across a broad span of the marketplace," said TMC president and group publisher Rich
Tehrani. "As the industry matures, we're finding more than just products and services on the
market - entire solutions are being offered. The awards, selected by the editors of Internet
Telephony(R) Magazine and the engineers of TMC Labs, are designed to honor those
companies, such as Alcatel for their OmniPCX 4400 as they continue to forge ahead with the
