There are some stocks like SUNW and INKT, where I just can't figure out their business model. On SUNW, you just don't need those expensive servers anymore. . . it is proven that getting closer to the hub is far more important.

And it used to be that "Powered by Inktomi" was a popular logo. . . but anymore, I don't see that. Didn't they power AltaVista and wasn't that closed down?

Both of these companies enjoy an enormous market capitalization. But I just don't get it. . . not in these times.

MSFT and WCOM may be at bargain prices. . . .ORCL, too. . . .but not SUNW, IMO.

Hey Softechie... thanks for the analysis of VYTL.. check it out today...down to 2 5/8 this morning.. I just can't understand how this company can have a market cap of only 131 million dollars... Their fiber obtics network in europe alone must be worth five to ten times that much...That was an interesting article about one of the directors being forced to sell over a million shares to meet a margin call..that would suck.. I wonder if that's what has caused the pressure this week?.. I can't imagine this company not being over $4 and real quick.. I mean dayz.. Still afraid of this market though... Fear stronger than greed today..LOL.. thanks again for the assist.. what do you think of VYTL at these levels... is there any point at which you buy this kind of situation? or do you just figure that the company may go bankrupt and avoid it?

just wondering what your thoughts were..
