Fertilizer and other kinds of plants are already closing and selling their natural gas futures.

I am sorry if the arithmetic is a problem, but I don't see you correcting the figures. A lot of the consumption is pretty inelastic, at least at first. For example, I could cut my thermstat from 68 to 58 but I don't think I will. Generating companies are adding natural gas plants.

I am not sure that simply looking at gas futures as if they were dot.com stocks is the best kind of analysis. Nobody is burning up dot.com stock certificates.
