You have the faith and you keep buying as we keep going lower. Excellent strategy for somebody like you and others with larger amounts of capital to spend, but look at some folks who are more limited. me personally, I have said all year long " I will not sell at this bottom, I will buy".....Look where it has gotten me. I would have been wiser selling instead of buying. Think about this....all year long, many folks repeatedly said you were foolish by selling since we are near a bottom....well, look at things now. Most folks would have been better off selling. For instance, at 3500, you were considered a lamb or a weeny if you sold and foolish if you werent buying. Well, how is one supposed to feel when they buy at $60 thinking it's a bottom....it drops to $40...well, now your really foolish if you sell, you should be buying more...never sell low, sell high....so buy more at $40...then the stock goes to $15...again, we are at a bottom, why sell now....in the end run, in such a declining market, you end up running out of funds and have a bunch of stocks worth $5. It aint just you, my man....My wife has been saying all year " Don't sell...don't sell near a bottom".....well, I am having a very hard time differntiating between not selling when something is down and preserve capital. Number one rule is always preserve capital. The other number one rule is dont buy high and sell low.....buy low and sell high. very contradicting. I llok at a position I have that goes south and I either need to sell in order to preserve capital, but if I do that, I am considered a fool or sheep or whatever for selling while it's down.....very conflicting. Personally, Like I said, I didnt want to be a sheep that sold at the bottom, so I have not been selling and have in fact been buying all year because I keep thinking we are at a bottom and now is the time to buy not sell.....well, that strategy has not only gotten me nowhere, but has lost me enormous amounts of money. And again, I sit here today, same as I did at 4200 and every 300 points on the way down, and I tell myself " dont sell.....BUY, we are near a bottom !! " .......My big problem is simply not selling into the rally's. If I think we are going higher, why sell. My idea of going higher is not going from 2750 - 3000. If everybody is calling for 4000 and 5000 on naz, why sell at 2900? So, I sit and hold, watch everything go down further and further....I am wrong to buy and wrong to sell. Tough market
