I am very happy that KEM is at least green in the sea of red today.

I think I will dump this before year end for a tax loss.

Miserable market for long players, eh?

Fiddling Dept.

While I made money on my latest KEM/AVX spread, my core position in KEM is sure looking ugly. Though I've had six successful spread trades in the past couple of months, the profits don't come close to rescuing me. Now that VSH has produced bad news, I wouldn't dare try a KEM/VSH spread again. Siliconix, as is often the case with Wall Street, might well follow up with worse news and then worse yet. And it's bad enough getting hit by the fallout. So spread trades, should an opportunity arise again, will be limited to Kem and AVX.
